A new WordPress site for Alexandra Giffoni at Breathing Yoga. goto11 also worked with Alex to develop the new identity and logo for Breathing Yoga. More details to follow shortly!

This was a fun but challenging site, built on the WordPress framework using designs supplied by Phil Bridges, Design & Marketing Director for xWorks. As an accomplished print designer, Phil had a very clear and concise idea of how he wanted to the site to look & function, so it was mostly a case of working from supplied Illustrator files with Phil to help realise his vision within the browser environment.

The site uses jQuery to handle all carousels, page sliding & reveals, as well as the modal window popups. The site is also one of the first we have developed to extensively use the ‘Flutter’ plugin for WordPress, which allows us to modify the WordPress backend to customise it to the customers exact content requirements, rather than requiring too much knowledge of the WordPress admin from the client.

In essence, wavedreamer is an inspirational community portal site showcasing one film-maker’s projects & his expanding network of surfers, photographers, musicians, creatives & nature lovers. Conceived and driven by Richard Gregory, wavedreamer has always been one of our favourite clients & projects at goto11. There aren’t many fellow creatives round here, let alone any with the same commitment to detail as us, so it has always been a pleasure to work with Richard on the wavedreamer site.

As the Director of his own design agency, Kind Design, Richard had a very strong vision and concept for how the identity and following website would look, but approached goto11 initialy for our expertise in bespoke website design. Ultimately, the project developed as a true design collaboration and the end result was something we are both very proud of. As a showcase for North Devon’s wonderful coastline, we don’t believe there is anything to beat it!

The wavedreamer website was one of our original projects that used the WordPress publishing platform [What is WordPress?]. We initially only used it for building Richards surf movie video journal. After now seeing the impressive power and capabilities of WordPress, the wavedreamer website has recently been completely rebuilt to run entirely on that platform. Richard now has full control of his site content, with goto11 staying on board to help with design tweaks when required.

The Surf Doctor is the internet home of Neil Clifton, ex-English surfing champ & English team coach. Neil certainly hasn’t lost his ability or his status as one of the UK’s top underground surfers as he nears his 40′s, but has now turned his energy to passing on his vast reserves of knowledge & ability through tailor-made surf coaching sessions. The Surf Doctor will not offer you the standard surf lesson experience. Rather than that, he will craft sessions to your exact requirements, whether that be watching warm-up surf movies, shadowing sessions, video analysis; if your surfing isn’t looking well, the Doc will heal you!

huntersurf.com is the eCommerce & resource site for Hunter Boardwear, a surf clothing and equipment company with a group of retail stores in North Devon. The eCommerce is powered by a bespoke Actinic installation, which is also used to generate a CMS (Content Magament System) for additional site content.

Update Octoner 2010: The Hunter website has now been passed on to another agency, but we were quite pleased with our original design, so you can still check out these screenshots!
